While the cost of living between these two Tennessee cities is relatively comparable, housing cost is a significant differentiating factor. The walking is gentle and easy and most areas are stroller accessible which means that with someone pushing them wheelchair bound individuals could visit the Fort and grounds. Knoxville has a pretty good public and private school system, regularly receiving high marks for academics and athletics. The price, in my opinion, was hefty for a little piece of history, coming in at $24 per adult. There is so much to do here with the lake and water activities to the water park right next door to the zip line course, dog park, play ground and beautiful cabins this location is hard to beat. Also lots of great sweet and berry wines. The driving tour is great, but it is walkable and great for bicycles. Highly recommend! Whenever I visit there under construction so it looked like half their parking lot was under construction too so not a whole lot of parking but they're still a good amount the casino was clean itself and it looked like they were walking around sterilizing machines so it seems safe enough. Definitely worth it if they ever resume the tours. The back half features many interactive displays obviously geared towards children. The NPS did a nice job of presenting this without a prejudice for one side being better or worse--specifically I didn't recall seeing any information on which side won the battle. Has been very quiet compared to a lot of other places we have stayed. We went on a scouting event so we stayed the night. At just under three miles, this moderate trail is great for older kids and folks looking to take their dog (on a leash!) Road Trip Across Tennessee Scenic Trails & Byways The playhouse is set in the hills of Middle Tennessee and you might think that they couldn't get good talent in there but they are fantastic. The trails were longer too. Cedars' of Lebanon is a really nice state part. This city is also home to the Johnny Cash Museum and the historic Ryman Auditorium. I especially enjoyed the dessert with a cup of coffee! If you like living on the edge, this is the place for you!
